Наш ответ «Апачи»: «ночной суперохотник» для армии Ми-28НМ

Pilots call it "Nikolai Mikhailovich" for its high flight performance and reliability

At the upcoming "Army-2024" forum, visitors will be presented with the modernized Mi-28NM helicopter. The powerful weapons complex and high combat survivability of the equipment contribute to the high efficiency of combat missions in the interests of army aviation.

The Mi-28NM is designed to search and destroy, at any time of day, in the tactical depth and on the front line, unarmored and armored equipment, as well as enemy manpower, low-speed aerial targets, as well as fire support and providing cover for troops.

The helicopter has high combat survivability in the air due to its powerful armor protection of the crew cabins, vital systems and units, and means of protection against being hit by missiles with thermal homing heads.

The Mi-28NM can be used in conditions of elevated air temperature and high altitude, and has the ability to be based on unpaved sites located at altitudes up to 4000 m. For its high flight performance and reliability, the new helicopter received the respectful nickname "Nikolai Mikhailovich" from the pilots.

Initially, the Mi-28 helicopter was created as a result of a competition between the Mil Design Bureau and the Kamov Design Bureau for the right to create a new attack helicopter capable of withstanding the American Apache attack helicopter and replacing the outdated Mi-24. The military preferred Mil's "air tank", and in 1982 the Mi-28 took to the air for the first time.

Main characteristics of the Mi-28NM:

  • Maximum take-off weight — 13,000 kg
  • Maximum flight speed — 305 km/h
  • Cruising speed — 275 km/h
  • Practical ceiling — 5 700 m
  • Static ceiling without taking into account the influence of the earth — 3 650 m
  • Flight range (internal fuel tanks) — 509 km
  • Crew - 2 people

As a reminder, the "Army-2024" forum will be held from August 12 to 14 in the "Patriot" park.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian military installed the MT-12 "Rapira" anti-tank gun on the high-speed MT-LB tracked all-terrain vehicle. This is how they solved the transportation of the gun.
