State Duma Deputy of the Russian Federation, Evgeny Moskvichev, has proposed creating toll railway crossings in Russia. According to the representative of the authorities, this will reduce the number of accidents.
Let's start building toll railway crossings. Let's say we are building a railway crossing for 50 years, which means it should pay for itself in 35. But not in 10. Then the cost of this passage will be this. And people will choose.
The initiative was supported by the head of the Ministry of Transport, Roman Starovoit. He clarified that local residents should travel through railway overpasses free of charge.
It is worth noting that representatives of the State Duma raised this issue after the crash of the Kazan-Adler passenger train. It derailed due to a collision with a truck, the driver of which was trying to cross the railway crossing on a red light.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that 34.1 billion rubles will be allocated for the construction of the Moscow — St. Petersburg high-speed railway line will be allocated.
