The network of diagnostic devices in Moscow will become one of the largest in the world. More than 1,700 pieces of equipment have already been connected to it: CT scanners, MRI machines, mammography machines, angiographs and other medical equipment. This is more than 98% of all such city devices.
Images from digital devices are sent to the Unified Radiological Information Service of EMIAS, where they are immediately seen by radiologists. The patient can view images and descriptions of studies in the electronic medical record. The unified circuit improves the quality and speed of diagnostics and allows the introduction of modern services based on artificial intelligence into the practice of Moscow doctors.
However, AI is already helping in Moscow polyclinics at a regular appointment. Since the fall of 2023, a digital assistant has been evaluating information from the electronic medical record and making a diagnosis, backing up the doctor and eliminating the human factor.
By May 2024, AI helped make 14 million preliminary diagnoses in Moscow. However, doctors do not rely entirely on artificial intelligence solutions, but double-check it, and can ultimately give patients their own diagnosis.
