By 2025, the company "Active Component" will build a plant in St. Petersburg for the production of active pharmaceutical substances for vital medicines. The project was supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia as part of a comprehensive investment program. This was reported by the press service of the department.
After the groundbreaking ceremony for the plant, a meeting was held to discuss the production of medicines. According to the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, Ekaterina Priezzheva, the enterprise will also produce cytostatic drugs, which are needed for the treatment of oncological diseases.
This is a strategically important project for the Russian pharmaceutical industry, which ensures full-cycle production in our country.
The construction of the production line corresponds to the objectives of the "Pharma-2030" project and the national program for the development of the pharmaceutical industry, aimed at import substitution.
