Для авиакресел и не только: сверхпрочная эпоксидная смола разработана в России

The technology for its production is based on plasmochemical synthesis of broad fractions of hydrocarbons from associated petroleum gas

The new technology increases the strength of the base epoxy resin by 3 to 10 times. The strength of the carbon composite in which such a modernized epoxy resin will be used is also increased. According to MIPT, the strength of the final finished material will approach the strength of aluminum, but it will be cheaper, simpler, and easier to manufacture.

The service life of products made with the use of modernized epoxy resin will be longer. This will reduce the utilization load on production and service costs.

Currently, the project team is focused on developing optimal technological solutions for introducing modifying additives obtained through plasmochemical synthesis into epoxy resins, which will allow achieving target quality indicators, process stability, and economic efficiency.
Anna Karaicheva, project manager, student at the Department of Technological Entrepreneurship at MIPT and winner of the "Phystech.Idea" accelerator

Karaicheva's "Modified Polymers" project became the winner of the "Phystech.Idea" accelerator, and the project team has already concluded a cooperation agreement with MIPT. The developers' immediate plans include launching a pilot production, especially since there are already interested parties: domestic manufacturers of aircraft seats.
