Speaking at the New Media Festival in the Senezh suburban cluster, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, answering questions from the audience about the blocking of the popular social network among young people, stressed that he believes it is better to"resume access as soon as possible".
This is my point of view. But we live in a state of war. And in a state of war, there must be restrictions. But as soon as the need for these restrictions becomes minimal, I believe that, of course, all platforms should be re-engaged in order to carry our voice to the world, to carry our truth to the world.
Peskov added that he is"deeply convinced" that Russia should"use all possible platforms to convey our point of view, especially if such an opportunity remains." Especially when Russian media"uprooted from Europe," in particular, Russia Today.
Following Peskov's speech, Roskomnadzor explained to RIA Novosti journalists that the agency"is not currently considering the possibility of lifting the block" on the banned social network.
