The jam-resistant "Kometa-M" antenna module helps them with targeting, which the enemy's electronic warfare forces cannot cope with, noted military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
He cited as an example one of the high-precision strikes on an object, on the roof of which a distributed aperture of more than one and a half dozen radiating antenna modules of L-band electronic radio countermeasures was placed.
Nevertheless, the jam-resistant "Kometa-M" antenna module of the FAB-250 aerial bomb with UPCM has shielding of the lower hemisphere and a narrow-directional, upward-oriented 8-beam radiation pattern. In this regard, the enemy's radiating modules could not have any effect on our FAB-250 with UPCM.
Thus, the "Kometa-M" module on Russian FAB bombs provides reliable GLONASS/GPS navigation and timing by protecting against all types of interference.
