The device can be used in all modern communication systems

At St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University LETI, in collaboration with St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation (GUAP), a mathematical apparatus for fast signal transmission has been developed. This was reported by Dmitry Klionsky, Associate Professor at the Department of Information Systems at LETI.

The device is based on a wavelet apparatus — an analysis tool. It is used for processing audio and video signals, as well as documents and images in information transmission, navigation, and location systems.

Thanks to the proposed fast computing algorithms, we managed to increase the information data transfer rate by 20-30%. The apparatus developed on the basis of wavelet transform can be used in radio navigation, radar, as well as in almost all modern wireless radio communication systems.

Scientists plan to continue modernizing the device by creating new data transmission algorithms. This will allow the development to be used in radio communication systems, radio navigation, radar, and other fields.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russians will be able to connect to satellite communications from smartphones.
