The developments will be supported by the NTI Fund

The NTI Project Support Fund has organized a competition to create a drone that can search for objects underground. The UAVs will be used by archaeologists and builders.

What characteristics will the UAV have:

  • scanning the ground to a depth of 5 m
  • searching for metallic objects, bones, ceramics, fossils
  • scanning the area before construction work

The drone will be equipped with a metal detector, ground penetrating radar, and a number of sensors. Developers must also develop a method for analyzing data received from the devices using a neural network.

Prototype testing will take place before the end of 2024 as part of the first stage of the competition. The second and third stages will be held in 2025-2026. The prize fund is estimated to exceed 200 million rubles.
