The VessoLink Group of Companies has created a hardware and software complex (HSC) with integrated artificial intelligence (AI). The device was demonstrated at the Archipelago project-educational intensive.
The novelty is a small-sized computer. It connects to a video camera or thermal imager of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
The device can be installed on any type of drone, except for small-sized drones weighing up to 1 kg. The weight of the HSC is 1 kg, its dimensions are 130x125x65 mm.
If there is a communication channel, the drone can immediately transmit information to the ground station, or save the data and then output it when communication is restored or upon landing. This eliminates the need to review all the footage, as the service customer immediately receives the final result.
During the flight, the drone finds the necessary object without the operator's participation. It determines the coordinates and outputs the received data, as well as photos or videos.
The HSC with integrated AI allows the use of UAVs for search and rescue operations, territory protection, and detection of power line break locations.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Russian Armed Forces at the forefront began testing a ground drone for evacuating soldiers.
