The owner of the passenger company "Bailyk No. 3" in Kazan, Ruslan Yusupov, complained about the poor quality of Chinese Fast Gear gearboxes. They were installed on NEFAZ buses in June 2023 instead of German ZF transmissions. Now, problems with the Chinese gearbox have arisen for carriers not only in Kazan, but also in Voronezh, Makhachkala, and Rostov-on-Don, he said.
The Chinese gearbox does not synchronize with the engine, it breaks, there are strong jolts during movement, which causes people to fall. This breaks the transfer case and axles.
According to him, there were no problems with German ZF gearboxes and German axles on the buses. Such NEFAZs passed 500 thousand kilometers without any complaints. But now, due to Chinese components, "the car is standing still, and the leasing is ticking."
In addition, passenger companies in the city have another problem. It lies in the shortage of personnel. Yusupov says that the city's public transport is short of 850 drivers and 850 conductors. However, this is not related to Chinese gearboxes.
