Ready to defend the Russian Baltic: Su-30SM and Su-24 fighter crews dropped aerial bombs on the "enemy"

The exercises of the Baltic Fleet air regiment involved 15 aircraft

Crews of multi-purpose fighters to gain air superiority Su-30SM and Su-24 of the aviation unit of the naval aviation of the Baltic Fleet took part in flight tactical exercises. The pilots practiced destroying ground targets with aerial bombs, the fleet's press service said.

The planned maneuvers, which took place day and night, involved almost 300 military personnel from the flight and engineering staff of the air regiment. The exercises involved more than 15 aircraft.

During the maneuvers, the crews used aerial bombs of various classes, cannon armament of aircraft.

The pilots performed the following tasks:

  • fire support for infantry
  • destruction of command posts, armored vehicles and manpower of a mock enemy
  • bombing and fire destruction of targets from cannon armament of aircraft
