The first 1.3 km bike lane has appeared on Tsvetnoy Boulevard. This was reported by the press service of the Moscow Department of Transport.
The markings were applied according to all the rules, in consultation with employees of the "Center for Traffic Management of the Government of Moscow" (TsODD). It complements existing bike paths and completes the route from the Dostoyevskaya metro station to the Bolshoi Theater.
This road takes about half an hour on foot or by bus, and less than 15 minutes by bicycle. It allows you to get from Belorussky railway station to Chistye Prudy 7 minutes faster than by metro.
The new infrastructure is planned to be tested until the end of the season. It was noted that if the result is positive, the number of bike lanes will increase in the future. By the end of the season, it is planned to add another 4.6 km of bike lanes on 6 streets in the Donskoy district, Khamovniki and on the territory of the Flacon cluster.
According to the task of the Mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, we continue to develop safe cycling and pedestrian infrastructure and support well-thought-out business proposals to improve the urban environment.
