Weapon developers need to work quickly, they don't have much time. This was stated by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov during a strategic session held at the Era military technopolis in Anapa.
According to Manturov, combat equipment, wearable weapons, close combat weapons and drones are in high demand in the units of the Russian Ministry of Defense. The requirements for them are constantly changing, he added.
At the same time, in the current situation, the time for their revision is not even calculated in months, but in days.
What was shown at the exhibition in the Era technopolis:
- robotic systems
- strike UAVs and reconnaissance drones
- detection equipment and electronic warfare systems
- communication relay systems
- new generation combat equipment with AI elements
- active and passive class exoskeletons
Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Defense Yunus-Bek Evkurov stated that the department, together with the military-industrial complex and the government, is looking for innovative solutions to ensure the country's technological sovereignty. Weapons from the "people's military-industrial complex" are also being considered. Promising samples are being finalized by specialists from the Era technopolis, which is a "single window" for advanced ideas and breakthrough technologies in the military-industrial complex.
In general, enterprises, including small and medium-sized companies, have the groundwork, competencies, and the desire to solve complex technological problems.
