The "Roscosmos" State Corporation is developing radio beacons for wristwatches that can be used in areas without stable communication. This became known at a meeting of the interdepartmental commission on the use of the results of space activities.
Valery Zaichko, Deputy Director of the Department of Automatic Space Complexes, Navigation Systems and Remote Sensing, noted that agreements have already been reached with the Ministry of Emergency Situations on the use of such radio beacons.
Now we are minimizing these beacons, to the point that they will be placed in watches. Like the GLONASS alert system — the same will be in watches. If you have purchased the service of using this service, then in the mountains, in other things, you can use them.
Earlier, the state corporation announced the launch of tests of mini-terminals for personal communication "Gonets-Autonomous". They will also be able to be used in remote regions of Russia, where there is no wired and mobile communication.
