Specialists from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) have developed an anthropomorphic robot with built-in artificial intelligence (AI). This was reported by the university's press service.
The robot is equipped with a computer vision system. Using video data, the model builds a map for further orientation in space.
The built-in AI allows the robot to be trained to perform tasks. It can work as an assembler in a warehouse or as a courier. Lifting and moving goods, collecting orders, or placing them in containers are all included in the functionality of the smart machine.
It is neural networks that should become the universal brain for robots. At the MIPT digital test site, we are also exploring various robot designs, walking platforms, and modernizing their control using AI algorithms.
MIPT specialists plan to further develop the project. The existing electronic library includes many robot models adapted to work and interact with people.
So far, the authors of the idea have developed one model of a smart robot. But the creation of the next assistant has already begun at the MIPT site.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Wildberries is implementing robots from AstaBot to work in warehouses.
