AvtoVAZ delivered only 110 kits for assembling LADA cars to Azerbaijan in the first four months of this year. Mass production of the cars began at the production site in late March.
Lada Niva Legend ranks first in terms of the number of kits shipped, with a share of almost 40%. Next are Lada Niva Travel and Lada Granta.
In addition to these models, LADA Vesta is also planned to be assembled at the industrial site.
As a reminder, AvtoVAZ plans to produce 1,500 cars in Azerbaijan by the end of the year. Then they want to increase production to 4-5 thousand cars. AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov spoke about plans to enter the Azerbaijani market back in February of this year.
