Усиление ядерной триады: ВМФ РФ получит новые атомные подлодки в этом году

This concerns the Project 885 Yasen-M nuclear submarine and the Project 995 Borei-A ships

The Northern Machine-Building Enterprise (Sevmash, part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation) will transfer to the Russian Navy "several nuclear submarines that will strengthen the nuclear component of our naval triad", said Mikhail Budnichenko, General Director of the enterprise, at the ceremony of awarding Heroes of Labor and winners of state prizes for 2023.

We are building two series of the latest fourth-generation nuclear submarines. We have finished with the Yasen and Borei nuclear submarines projects. Now we are building advanced series – Yasen-M and Borei-A. Over the past 12 years, we have transferred 12 nuclear submarines to the Navy. For the last three years, we have been delivering two to three nuclear submarines per year. There were no such rates even in Soviet times.
Mikhail Budnichenko, General Director of Sevmash «Ясень-М»

According to Budnichenko, Sevmash is also carrying out large-scale work to modernize the Project 11442M ship, as well as a number of completely unique projects that are being carried out in the interests of defense and the naval nuclear component of Russia.

It is worth recalling that Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that the missile carriers produced at Sevmash ensure the highest reliability of Russia's nuclear triad.

Sevmash produces new generation nuclear missile carriers, which ensure the reliability and highest combat capabilities of Russia's nuclear triad.
