Победили рак?: В России разработали революционную вакцину от всех видов рака

The drug's effectiveness has already been proven in mice

Russian scientists have developed a vaccine against various types of cancer. Its effectiveness has been established in tests on mice. This was announced by Alexander Gintsburg, head of the Gamaleya Center, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2024).

According to Alexander Gintsburg, the principle of the drug is based on mRNA technology. This method forces the body to react to the tumor by producing marker proteins, and the immune system learns to distinguish healthy cells from diseased ones.

The first clinical tests of the new vaccine were carried out on mice. All rodents were artificially inoculated with melanoma, some were vaccinated, and others were not.

The drug showed good results — the vaccinated animals are still alive. Mice without vaccination died on the 18-22nd day of the experiment.

Thanks to the initiative and support of the president of our country, a project has been launched aimed at developing a fundamentally new approach to treatment in the fight against oncological diseases, which, if implemented, should solve many of the problems of oncology that are currently unresolved, and thereby save millions of human lives

The vaccine will be created individually for each patient based on biopsy results. The authors of the idea plan to begin clinical trials on cancer patients in 2025.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that an effective drug for fighting cancer was developed in Nizhny Novgorod.
