Specialists of the Research Institute of Semiconductor Devices (part of Roselectronica) have started production of ultra-miniature LED lamps, which are designed for indication and illumination of equipment for aviation, automobiles, and ships. This was reported by the press service of Roselectronica.
Products of the Research Institute of Semiconductor Devices are 10 times more durable than ultra-miniature incandescent lamps. It is specified that their service life exceeds 50 thousand hours.
Characteristics of ultra-miniature LED lamps:
- size — 7-9 mm
- diameter — 3.2 mm
- weight — 0.2 g
- the case is made of light-scattering material
These features will allow the lamps to obtain the quality category "VP" (military acceptance) in the future. The press service of Roselectronica added that the first batch of products was delivered to equipment manufacturers for aviation.
