From all three assembly lines of AvtoVAZ in Togliatti, one car is produced every 25 seconds. This was stated by the head of the auto giant, Maxim Sokolov, on the sidelines of the SPIEF.
With the launch of the Aura model, the plant will switch to a speed of 22 seconds.
The top manager noted that a large amount of investment is needed to reduce the time by only three seconds.
What about the production of LADA Aura?
Sokolov spoke about the auto giant's plans for the production of LADA Aura. Its full-scale mass assembly will begin in the third quarter of this year. The conveyor from which Vesta comes off will be used. With the start of mass production, five cars per hour will be produced, and by autumn the car plant plans to establish the assembly of 52 cars per hour.
The top manager assured that even despite the high demand for LADA Aura from officials, some of the cars will still be available for free sale. Sokolov emphasized that AvtoVAZ aims to have a premium car in each of the country's dealerships.
