Solaris brand cars (renamed Hyundai Creta, Kia Rio, Kia Rio X-line and Hyundai Solaris) assembled at the former Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg are sold by official dealers without branded Solaris nameplates. This was reported by several sources in the automotive industry.
Solaris cars come without emblems and nameplates, some dealerships stick emblems and logos of Korean brands as part of pre-sale preparation. Others hand over a scattering of badges to the client in the trunk.
Thus, cars with the brand logos of the new domestic brand only exist on the official website. This situation does not bother buyers who bought 998 Solaris cars in April. Dealers are taking advantage of the high demand and selling cars for hundreds of thousands more than the manufacturer recommended.
The most popular model remains the Solaris HS (Hyundai Solaris). At the end of May, Solaris KRX cross-hatchbacks (Kia Rio X-line) appeared at dealerships. Cars are offered for prices starting from 2 million 235 thousand rubles.
