The Ministry of Digital Development plans new support measures for the domestic IT industry by 2030. They will concern not only software developers, but also those who intend to switch to Russian software.
In terms of supporting the IT industry, we plan that by 2030, additional investments by IT companies in the development of Russian software and hardware-software complexes will amount to 174 billion rubles, and 150 projects will be supported by subsidized loans.
Speaking at the plenary session "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State" at VDNH, he assured that the Ministry of Digital Development will continue to support both developers and those who buy their products.
Support measures are needed: state corporations and companies with state participation must completely switch to Russian operating systems (OS), office suites, antivirus programs and virtualization systems from January 1, 2025.
In addition, on May 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which, by 2030, at least 80% of Russian companies in key sectors of the economy must switch to basic and applied Russian software.
Earlier it became known that a domestic BIOS system is already being tested in Russia — it will be released on the market in the fall.
