В Шереметьево начал работать первый в России электрический аэродромный топливозаправщик

A block of lithium-ion batteries allows up to six aircraft refuelings

The first electric fuel tanker has started operating at Sheremetyevo Moscow Airport. A block of lithium-ion batteries will allow the new vehicle to carry out up to six aircraft refuelings on a full charge.

The technology was introduced by Gazpromneft-Aero. The use of an airfield tractor with an electric motor will reduce operating costs for equipment operation by more than 60%, and will also eliminate CO2 emissions. The new fuel tanker already serves Air Serbia, Pobeda, Smartavia and Aeroflot flights at Sheremetyevo Airport.

The launch of the first electric fuel tanker in Russia at Sheremetyevo made it possible to completely eliminate CO2 emissions during fuel delivery to the aircraft. This solution has proven its effectiveness and may be implemented in other Russian airports in the future.
Vladimir Egorov, General Director of Gazpromneft-Aero

A standard truck was used as a platform for the electric truck. Instead of a conventional internal combustion engine, it was equipped with an energy-efficient electric motor with increased traction for transporting tankers weighing from 20 to 60 tons at a speed of 30 km/h. A full cycle of charging the batteries to 100% takes 2–3 hours.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian airlines were threatened with suspension of work due to errors in the processing of passenger tickets.
