Drones may be used on the beaches of Anapa to rescue drowning people. Test launches of drones have taken place in the city. Drone operators practiced accurately dropping life jackets. It is assumed that this will help buy time until rescuers reach the drowning person.
The possibility of using drones on the city's beaches was first discussed in 2021. They were supposed to be controlled by instructors from the shore.
It is worth noting that drones for rescuing drowning people are actively used in Turkey. The administration of the city of Antalya purchased 30 "Çakuş" drones to help rescuers. Drones can reach an average speed of 80 km/h and fly with a lifebuoy to a drowning person in 8-10 seconds. It takes rescuers an average of about 1.5 minutes to swim to the victim.
The most advanced solution for helping drowning people was developed in China — a drone in the form of a lifebuoy. The device is called TY-3R Flying Lifebooy. It was developed by Didiok Makings.
The drone is not afraid of water and can be at a depth of up to 1 meter for half an hour. When landing, its engines automatically turn off so as not to injure the drowning person.
TY-3R Flying Lifebooy is capable of flying more than a thousand meters, accelerating to 47 km/h. The drone's autonomy is only 10 minutes. The cost is $11,800.
