В обход санкций: Россия и Иран планируют запуск расчётов в цифровой валюте

This approach will facilitate interactions between countries

Russia and Iran are planning to create new methods for mutual settlements. Both states have begun exploring the use of CDAs (digital financial assets) and digital currencies. This was announced by Rahimi Mohsen, trade attaché of the Iranian Embassy in Russia.

Rahimi Mohsen emphasized that both states are under pressure from economic sanctions, so the digitalization of settlements could facilitate the cooperation process.

In the future, it is planned to make the digital ruble an alternative to the national currency of Russia. This will help avoid losing 20–25% of profits when converting funds. But to implement the initiative, it is necessary to agree on regulatory acts and new payment methods with both countries.

It is worth noting that in March of this year, the Russian Federation already adopted a law that allows the use of CDAs in international payments. The banking systems of Russia and Iran have also moved closer together. Now money transfers can be carried out without using Swift.

Earlier, www1.ru reported on when the Digital Ruble will begin to be massively implemented in Russia.
