After the May holidays, the facilities of VIS-Auto will be moved to the site of the former pilot production of AvtoVAZ. Currently, pickups and vans are assembled in the industrial zone of the Central district of Togliatti, where VIS-Auto rents an industrial building.
The VIS-Auto welding complex started operating at AvtoVAZ's OPP in January 2024. The complete relocation of van and pickup production is expected in the summer
It is planned that the bodies welded at VIS-Auto will continue to be painted at AvtoVAZ's facilities.
As a reminder, VIS-Auto produces LADA Niva in the Bronto version, as well as pickups and vans based on LADA Niva and LADA Granta. The company employs 420 people.
The AvtoVAZ pilot production site has not been functioning since 2015, when it was closed by decision of the head of the auto giant, Bu Andersson. Since then, the premises have been used as warehouses.
