"STAN", part of "Rostec", has import-substituted milling machines for domestic aircraft manufacturers, engine manufacturers and enterprises of the military-industrial complex. Up to 60 units of new models of these machines will be produced annually at the Sterlitamak NPO "Stankostroyenie".
Both models allow drilling parts, threading, straight and contour milling, boring holes and grooves in them, and other operations. However, there are differences between them.
The five-axis VMB63 machine produces complex shaped parts with a diameter of 630x400 mm. Processing a part immediately along five coordinate axes speeds up the process and ensures high accuracy.
The three-axis VMB70 center performs power milling of workpieces up to 1400x700x700 mm in size from structural steels and alloyed alloys. Manufacturers note that, unlike previous versions, it has a reinforced structure, a more rigid frame and greater ergonomics.
Both new machine models will be equipped with domestic components. The necessary components and assemblies will be produced at STAN's own facilities. These include, in particular, frames, conveyors for chips, tilting rotary tables, tool magazines, body parts and modernized cabinet protection.
Previously, STAN had already created a 1000VBFL machine with numerical control for grinding cemented carbide plates with diamond wheels to replace American and Japanese products. This equipment is fully automatic and can perform high-precision operations, for example, produce gas turbine engine blades.
Also, at the beginning of the year, one of the enterprises in the STAN group released the first giant machine stamping parts for aircraft enterprises. With its help, Russia will be able to produce fuel tanks, life support systems and aircraft panels technologically independently.
