В микросхемах «Микрона» появятся новые российские корпуса и блистерные ленты

Agreements Signed with Russian Companies for Import Substitution

Mikron, the largest Russian microelectronics manufacturer (part of the Element Group), will make its products even more independent from external supplies for its microchips.

At the ExpoElectronica 2024 exhibition, Mikron's management signed agreements with two major domestic manufacturers. "M-Tech" is the only Russian manufacturer of blister antistatic tapes for packaging electronic components and reels for packaging electronic components for automated surface mounting. It is planned that now new domestic materials and components from "M-Tech" will be seen in Mikron's products. The duration of the agreement has not been announced.

The second agreement concerns the development of the production of new types of plastic packages for microchips. Mikron concluded it with the Central Design Bureau "Dayton" until 2027, and it may be extended for the future if successful.

Both domestic partners will help Mikron, in particular, to develop its new high-tech lines for assembling microchips in plastic packages and producing chip modules for bank cards, electronic documents, and SIM cards. Plastic assembly production will allow the production of up to 18 million packaged microchips per year, and the chip module line will produce up to 56 million chips per year.

Thanks to them, Russian electronics manufacturers will receive stable chip supplies that do not depend on imports and will be able to increase the localization of their products.
