VCIOM: 90% of Russian Citizens Give Favorable Assessments of Future Technologies

A VCIOM poll showed that 90% of Russian residents have a positive attitude towards the development of future technologies. Respondents noted that the introduction of artificial intelligence, robotics and bioengineering will significantly improve the quality of life.

Most of the people surveyed understood artificial intelligence (29%), automation of processes using robotics (26%) and bioengineering (24%) as "future technologies".

Less than a third of respondents stated that future technologies are available to all Russians. Another 33% of respondents believed that modern innovations are available to a minority. The remaining 30% said that only certain groups of citizens would be able to use new developments. A small percentage of respondents found it difficult to answer.

The VCIOM survey was conducted online. It was attended by 1,609 Russian citizens who have reached the age of majority.
