The Ministry of Health proposes to support domestic car manufacturers by making it mandatory to purchase cars from them for medical organizations. The department has already submitted a draft government decree containing amendments to the state program for the development of healthcare in this regard.
The "Parliamentary Newspaper" notes that, according to amendments on the provision of subsidies from the federal budget to regional ones, the heads of medical organizations, when replenishing the vehicle fleet, should give preference only to domestic manufacturers.
Only Russian cars will be required to be purchased and used in the regions in the coming years to transport patients for medical examinations, pregnant women for check-ups, doctors to the place of residence of patients or the biomaterial obtained in the laboratory. As a representative of the Ministry of Health explained at a meeting of the Health Protection Committee, these amendments are related to sanctions restrictions and support for the Russian auto industry.
However, several automotive solutions have appeared in Russia over the past year that will help implement the new amendments to the state program.
For example, Concordia engineers developed a simple electric car for large hospitals. It runs on a simple outlet and can transport patients between buildings at any time of the year. It can also transport biomaterial between buildings.
And in Shvabe modernized the Lada Niva Kub passenger minivan to an ambulance of class "A". It is suitable for on-call visits in uncomplicated cases, transporting patients and providing them with medical care with a basic set of medical equipment.
