Heart massage for up to 45 minutes - how the new Russian "CardioRobot" for resuscitation works

Hundreds of such complexes should be delivered to hospitals and ambulance crews in 2025

The "Ruselectronics" holding has presented its new civilian development - the first Russian robotic complex for cardiopulmonary resuscitation "CardioRobot". The first batch of devices has already passed the stage of preclinical testing and showed that they can increase the chances of survival of patients in critical condition and reduce the burden on medical personnel.

You can see how the device resuscitates a seriously ill patient at the "Russia" exhibition at VDNKh. The development of the "CardioRobot" project is carried out by NPP "Almaz" - a "daughter" of "Ruselectronics" - with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia together with LLC "Medical Robotics".

Unlike a person who can perform indirect heart massage qualitatively for only a few minutes, "CardioRobot" is able to work for up to 45 minutes. The new device can be used in intensive care units, intensive care units, transplant departments and ambulances. Thanks to the patient's vital signs sensors, the device regulates the pressure and depth of compression. The device is equipped with a cuff for non-invasive blood pressure measurement and an SpO2 sensor that measures the level of oxygen saturation in the blood.

It is known that there are already more than 1500 applications for the purchase of "CardioRobots". But so far, the device is awaiting clinical trials and obtaining a registration certificate. Serial production and delivery of the first 800 robots to customers are scheduled for 2025.
