The Ruselectronics holding has shown a new ultra-wideband discone antenna that can replace several antennas of different ranges and operate even in hurricane-force winds of up to 50 meters per second.
These folding antennas on a telescopic mast from the subsidiary NPP "Polet" can be installed at training grounds, in ground communication complexes, and mobile radio measuring laboratories.
Thanks to the ultra-wideband, one "Polet" antenna can replace several antennas of different ranges. For ground mast antennas, this means that instead of two or three masts, there will be only one mast. This will reduce the number of cables running from the radio station to the antennas, and will also eliminate the need for a frequency division device connecting the radio station to two antennas of different ranges. Thus, the use of our antenna will significantly simplify the entire ground antenna system and increase its reliability.
The manufacturers note that the absence of matching circuits simplifies the electrical circuit and increases the reliability and durability of the antenna, and allows it to be used in the VHF and UHF bands by scaling.
