Negotiations are underway in Minsk on the possibility of starting production of Russian aircraft "Baikal" (LMS-901) and "Ladoga" (TVRS-44) in Belarus. According to the Russian Ambassador in Minsk, Boris Gryzlov, Belarusian enterprises, including the 407th Minsk Civil Aviation Plant and the 558th Aviation Repair Plant in Baranovichi, will produce components for Russian aircraft such as Tu-214, Il-96 and MS-21. He also noted the possibility of launching the production of "Baikal" and "Ladoga" aircraft at Belarusian enterprises.
The issue of aircraft construction is currently being discussed. This is also a very serious area. The 407th Minsk Civil Aviation Plant, the 558th Aviation Repair Plant in Baranovichi - they will receive orders for the manufacture of components for Russian aircraft - Tu-214, Il-96, MS-21. It is possible that the production of finished products will also be possible, that is, the "Baikal" and "Ladoga" aircraft - small intraregional aircraft.
It should be reminded that at the beginning of the year, Alexey Chekunkov, Minister for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, announced plans to establish the production of the "Baikal" aircraft in Komsomolsk-on-Amur in the next two years. It was also reported that the production site in Komsomolsk-on-Amur for the assembly of the "Baikal" aircraft is working around the clock, the rush is needed because the launch of the plant was planned for June 2025. As for the TVRS-44 "Ladoga", it was expected that 140 of them should be built by 2030 at the Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA). For their production in the special economic zone "Titanium Valley" in the Sverdlovsk region, three new facilities appeared, which were put into operation.
The "Baikal" aircraft should replace the legendary " кукурузник " (An-2). Its cruising speed will be 300 km/h, and the maximum flight range will reach 3 thousand km (with a payload of 2 tons - 1.5 thousand km). The aircraft is capable of carrying up to 9 people.
The TVRS-44 "Ladoga" will be much larger, it is able to replace the An-24. In the basic version, the TVRS-44 will be able to carry 44 passengers or up to 5 tons of cargo. Its flight range with passengers will be 2200 km, and with cargo - 1200 km. The cruising speed of this aircraft will be in the range of 460-480 km/h.
Earlier www1.ru wrote that the airline "Belavia" expressed interest in purchasing Russian aircraft, including the MS-21 and Sukhoi Superjet New (SJ-100), especially if the latter will be produced jointly with the allied republic.
