The Federation Council held a round table to discuss security measures for oil refineries. The issue is being handled by the Ministry of Energy and "Rosgvardia". This is reported by the online publication "Interfax.ru".
Security work is underway, it is a really relevant issue. We are working together, including with colleagues from "Rosgvardia", on [measures] to cover facilities, install the necessary protection systems such as "Pantsir".
He noted that now the department can "always redirect fuel flows in the event of any equipment failure", and the main thing is "that the Russian Railways does not let us down".
Earlier, the State Duma proposed, as a measure to protect energy facilities from spies and saboteurs, to allow private security companies to shoot down drones.
"Pantsir" is a Russian anti-aircraft missile and gun system developed for the defense of civilian and military facilities on land and sea. The latest of the land-based versions is the most multifunctional: the modernized version of the Pantsir-SM SAM system. It is capable of hitting even copters, mortar mines and other small targets, and the number of its missiles that it can fire at multiple targets at once reaches almost one hundred.
