The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations is carrying out a technical re-equipment and updating mobile communication centers for work in emergency situations (MUS CHS) and public information and warning systems (MKION). The Ryazan Radio Plant of the "Ruselectronics" holding has been selected as the sole supplier of these systems for the next three years.
Prior to this, the Ryazan Radio Plant had already supplied 21 special vehicles MUS CHS and 13 special vehicles MKION to the territorial divisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in 2022-2023. The equipment demonstrated high speed of response and operation in the most severe conditions.
MUS CHS is assembled on the basis of a specialized "KAMAZ" vehicle with increased cross-country ability. Its onboard equipment in the field organizes channels of satellite, wired and radio communications, and creates a local area network. In addition, the complex can conduct video surveillance in the area of task execution and provide data transmission, including via video conferencing in the departmental digital communication network.
MKION is also based on the "KAMAZ" chassis. It broadcasts emergency audiovisual information in places of mass gathering of people, as well as in remote areas not covered by specialized technical means of notification. The information is displayed on a large high-quality LED screen, ready for operation at any time of the day in any weather conditions. MKION also has modern communication equipment, including automotive and portable DMR radios manufactured by the sister concern "Sozvezdie", which is also part of "Ruselectronics".
The number of units planned for production over the three-year contract has not yet been announced. However, it is known that by the end of 2024, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations will receive 7 new MUS CHS and 6 new MKION units.
