Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko welcomed participants of the Eurasian IT Forum "Digital Sovereignty as the Basis for Long-Term International Cooperation," which will be held in Moscow on February 20–21. The forum will discuss important aspects of the digital state and its role in international cooperation.
In his welcoming speech, Chernyshenko noted that Russia occupies a leading position in the field of digitalization. The country has a developed communication and internet infrastructure, launches its own satellites, and introduces domestic neural networks into government services.
Russia also ranks fourth in the world in the number of generative artificial intelligence models and is in the top 10 in terms of the total power of supercomputers. Moreover, import substitution of foreign industrial software with Russian analogues is actively being carried out. Leading developers are creating cross-industry solutions for the largest companies, which are in demand not only within the country, but also in global markets. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, Russia is also in the top ten countries in terms of digitalization of the public sector with a «unprecedented level of protection against cyber threats». Russia is ready to share its developments with friendly countries.
Chernyshenko noted that already 80% of foreign digital products have domestic analogues, which indicates the growth of competitiveness of the domestic industry.
