A family with two children in the Moscow region has secured the first mortgage loan in the country using biometric data from the Unified Biometric System (UBS). The transaction was conducted by Bank «Dom.rf».
The client underwent the identification procedure and remotely opened a bank account. He did not need to go to the bank for this.

Previously, the client had to meet with a bank employee at home or visit a branch. When applying, the borrower did not fill out a form — the data came from his digital profile on «Gosuslugi».
The Moscow region family received 4.9 million rubles, which they spent on purchasing an apartment under the preferential «Family Mortgage» program. The client signed all documentation online using an electronic digital signature. The registration of the transaction in Rosreestr will also be remote.
It was previously reported that a biometric profile has already appeared for 18 million Russian citizens.
