На Ка-226Т, Ка-62 и «Ансат» почти готовы российские двигатели вместо канадских и французских

VK-650V and VK-1600V engines from UEC are on the home stretch

The United Engine Corporation spoke about the progress of work on import substitution of engines for Ka-226T, Ka-62, and Ansat helicopters. According to Mikhail Remizov, Deputy General Director of UEC for Strategy and Program-Project Management, announced on Russia-24, the company's products are on the "home stretch".

VK-1600V and VK-650V should replace Canadian Pratt & Whitney PW207K engines, and French Turbomeca Ardiden 3G and Turbomeca Arrius 2G1 engines

The 210-kilogram VK-1600V is replacing the Turbomeca Ardiden 3G inside the Ka-62 and other multi-purpose and special helicopters with a take-off weight of up to eight tons. Electronic design and 3D optimization were used to create it in the form of printing a number of parts - this is the first domestic engine for helicopters with such a mass. The VK-1600V has a take-off engine power of 1400 hp, a specific fuel consumption of 200 g/hp per hour. At the same time, it has a forcing margin of about 10-15%.

The VK-650V replaces the Pratt & Whitney PW207K engine inside the Ansat - one of the main helicopters of the Russian National Sanitary Aviation Service - and the Turbomeca Arrius 2G1 inside the multi-purpose Ka-226T. It can also be installed on other domestic multi-purpose and special helicopters with a take-off weight of up to four tons.

The engine weighs 105 kg, has a power of 650 hp in take-off mode, and a specific fuel consumption of 0.245 kg/hp per hour.

The VK-650V was also designed using electronic design using 3D optimization techniques. It has an autonomous closed-type oil system.

The parent state corporation UEC, Rostec, announced flight tests of both engines and their certification for 2024.
