The Russian Progress MS-31 cargo ship undocked from the Poisk multi-functional module of the International Space Station (ISS) on the evening of March 16. This was reported by Roscosmos press service.
The Progress MS-31 engine will start braking at 19:42 Moscow time. When the ship enters the dense layers of the Earth's atmosphere, it will burn up, and the remaining parts of the structure will fall in the south of the Pacific Ocean.
The next space freighter will be Progress MS-33. It is being prepared for launch at Baikonur (Kazakhstan), which is scheduled for March 22.
Progress MS-31 was launched into orbit from Baikonur on July 3, 2025, on a Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle as part of the 92nd ISS supply mission. The ship delivered fuel, drinking water and provisions, and scientific equipment to the cosmonauts.
