Specialists from the Russian Stratim Design Bureau are completing the flight test cycle of an analogue of the Geran kamikaze drone. The project, which was named "Yastreb", will be completed in the first half of 2024, the bureau said.
The drone is made according to the "flying wing" principle, it is capable of targeting objects by coordinates and hitting objects at a distance of up to 350 km. The Stratim Design Bureau added that after flight tests of the prototype, engineers intend to create a full-size sample.
We will move to the stage of a finished product in the first half of this year
According to him, "Yastreb" can be used as a pseudo-missile to divert enemy air defense systems.
Technical characteristics of the kamikaze drone:
- Flight speed with ICE - 300 km/h
- Flight speed with a jet engine - 700 km/h
- Equipped with a high-explosive warhead
- Payload - 16 kg
The main feature of the drone is its affordability. This will be possible thanks to the installation of a Russian-made turbine on the "Yastreb".
