FSUE "NAMI" is actively working on creating a domestic line of electric vehicles, some of which will have hybrid installations.
In urban conditions, it is practical to use an electric motor, and when traveling long distances, a hybrid engine that can run on both gas and diesel fuel is ideal. By the way, the gas turbine engines that NAMI engineers are currently working on are a good example of creating products that are strategically important for several industries at once: the automotive industry, the oil and gas sector. Also, with their help, it is possible to implement energy supply tasks in remote areas of our large country.
The second important task of NAMI, which Nazarov shared in an interview with the "Federal Business Journal", was the development of new automotive platforms, the unification of car components and their localization in Russia.
Finally, NAMI is also conducting research on cybersecurity: there are already quite a few cars in Russia with the ability to be controlled from the outside.
This is a matter of security. And here NAMI acts as a leader in the automotive industry, which is able, in effective cooperation with partners, to develop and implement our Russian security system for access to car control systems.
"Pervy Technicheskiy" has already written that the "Kaspersky Lab" is working on protecting the information security of cars from intruders.
The development can be integrated at least into Chinese cars, which have become popular in Russia in recent years. Negotiations in this direction with some Chinese car brands are already taking place.
