The Kalashnikov Group announced that the AK-12 (5.45 mm caliber), AK-15 (7.62 mm caliber) assault rifles, the Lebedev modular pistol (MPL), and the Lebedev modular pistol for special tasks (MPL1) have been adopted by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. The head of the Russian government, Mikhail Mishustin, signed the corresponding decree.
As clarified by the press service of the group, the AK-12 and AK-15 were previously adopted by the Russian Armed Forces. It is also known that two types of the Lebedev modular pistol have been adopted by the Federal National Guard Troops Service of the Russian Federation (Rosgvardia).
The head of Kalashnikov, Alan Lushnikov, stated that this demonstrates the high level of trust that law enforcement agencies have in the group's products.

The company participates in all state contracts related to the supply of weapons for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he added.
Previously, the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant fulfilled a contract for the supply of the Lebedev compact pistol (PLC) to Russian security forces. This type of individual weapon became an award for servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces.
