Россия производит более тысячи FPV-дронов-камикадзе в день - Forbes

They cost less than shells and allow for high-precision strikes against hard-to-reach targets

The American publication Forbes has taken note of the boom in the construction of FPV kamikaze drones in Russia - new models appear almost every month.

FPV drones cost several hundred dollars each, which is cheaper than shells. But at the same time, they are capable of delivering more effective, precise strikes than shells on tanks, armored personnel carriers, position locations, trenches, bunkers and dugouts, and enemy manpower directly. This makes FPV kamikaze drones one of the types of modern ideal military equipment.

«Forbes» refers to the Russian volunteer group «Sudoplatov», which says that it produces a thousand kamikaze drones a day. Workers with soldering irons and electric screwdrivers assemble a drone manually at about twenty different sites in just a few hours with a set of 3D printers. And they are not the only ones doing this.

The publication does not exclude that the Ministry of Defense of Russia helps both «Sudoplatov» and other associations for the development and assembly of drones, for example, the «Archangel» project, to increase such thousandth обороты.

We are seeing more active participation from the Ministry of Defense - soldiers are being trained, more FPV piloting schools are opening across the country, and the military is definitely interested in continuing this process.

It is noted that the world is now observing the same thing that happened almost eighty years ago: the Soviet Union succeeded in World War II «thanks to the ability to bear heavy losses and the availability of industrial facilities to produce huge amounts of military equipment». And now «the side that produces more UAVs and destroys enemy forces faster may be the winner» in any conflict, especially in the SMO.
