Takeoff and Landing Tests on Soil Performed Excellently

UAC conducted tests of the updated heavy military transport aircraft Il-76MD-90A.

This robust machine is designed for transporting and parachuting military equipment, personnel, and cargo, and is actively used by the Ministry of Defense. The Il-76MD-90A aircraft fleet is constantly being replenished.

However, aircraft designers are refining and improving the aircraft. Now it is not afraid of the absence of concrete runways.

After the latest modernization, the Il-76MD-90A received:

  • more powerful PS-90A-76 engines;
  • updated landing gear with a high safety margin;
  • improved takeoff and landing and cruising characteristics.

These and other design changes, which UAC does not specify, allow the aircraft to be used everywhere: at equipped and unequipped airfields, on concrete and dirt runways, in various climatic conditions.
