Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin spoke about what awaits Muscovites and visitors to the capital in the metro. Traveling will become more comfortable: "Moscow-2020" metro trains will appear on the Zamoskvoretskaya line (green line number two).
"Moscow-2020" carriages serve the BCL and MCC, but now comfortable trips will be available on other lines as well.
Drivers are taught theory, which they practice on a special simulator that replicates the green line route with its features. Then they learn to drive a new train on the line, but without passengers.
Previously, metro trains of this model were partially introduced as a replacement for old carriages on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya metro line (orange line number six).
One of the unique features of the "Moscow-2020" is the climate control systems with a disinfection function. They maintain optimal temperature and air purity in the cabin.
It is planned to purchase at least five hundred such carriages for Moscow by 2026.
