Логотип с бегущим оленем принес ГАЗ почти 4 миллиона рублей

GAZ won 3.9 million rubles from "Romanov Motors" for the logo with a running deer

The Moscow company "Romanov Motors", which is engaged in the production and sale of electric vehicles, sold "Mini Volga GAZ 21" children's electric vehicles with an emblem in the form of a running deer through its online platform. Gorky Automobile Plant (GAZ) sued the company.

It turned out that GAZ did not give Romanov Motors permission to use its trademark. At the same time, the Moscow electric vehicle manufacturer earned almost 2 million rubles on goods with this emblem.

As a result, the court recognized GAZ as the injured party, awarding 3.9 million rubles in compensation. Representatives of Romanov Motors tried to challenge this decision in higher instances. However, the appellate court upheld the decision.

It is noted that now the court for intellectual property rights has accepted GAZ's claim against a furniture company headquartered in the Stavropol Territory. The automaker claims that the furniture makers decorated their sofas with a deer logo, while they do not have the rights to this sign.

Earlier it was reported that the "GAZelle NN" and "Sobol NN" cars received a 2.5-liter diesel engine.
