В России создали гистологический сканер с автоподачей стекол на замену импортным решениям

The system is designed for automatic feeding of 200 slides

The Moscow Aviation Institute is engaged not only in promising aerospace projects, but also in applied solutions for automating routine work. One such development is a histological scanner with an automatic feeder of slides, designed to automate the work of medical personnel (morphologists, laboratory assistants, etc.) during cytological, biochemical, and histological research.

The system includes a microscope with an HD camera and a robotic table for moving histological slides. The automatic sample feeder drum is designed for 10 cassettes of 20 slides each.

MAI stated that there are no analogues of such a histological scanner in Russia, and imported devices are too expensive for mass implementation in various kinds of clinics. In addition, there are now difficulties with the supply of components for imported equipment.

In addition, almost all such devices are designed for glasses from certain foreign manufacturers, while our development does not have such restrictions and can work with glasses from domestic companies.

It remains to add that the histological scanner is already being tested in real conditions.
