Разработка российский ученых упростит переход отечественным авиакомпаниям на устойчивое авиационное топливо

All airlines worldwide plan to replace aviation kerosene with SAF

Scientists from Samara University have developed software designed to facilitate the transition of domestic airlines to so-called sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

The software suite allows understanding how the characteristics of an aircraft (speed, fuel consumption, emissions into the atmosphere, etc.) change when using a specific type of biofuel. In the future, synthetic fuel, fuel from recycled materials, and aviation condensed fuel will be added to the database.

If you enter the necessary current data, the program will be able to show the economic feasibility of using biofuel on this aircraft.
Ivan Zubrilin, Director of the Engineering Center

The software suite is based on the "ASTRA" automated system previously created at Samara University for designing gas turbine engines used in jet aircraft.
