Another military drone has been made in Russia: the "Vostok" design bureau (DB) has created the "Scalpel" drone. The UAV is already undergoing flight tests, and mass production should begin in October 2023.
The "Scalpel" UAV is a classic kamikaze drone. It can accelerate up to 120 km/h with a flight range of 40 km and a payload weight of about 5 kg. A special feature of the "Scalpel" is its internal compartment: with a diameter of 125 mm and a length of 650 mm, it is suitable for installing the warhead of most available means of destruction from the range of the Russian Air Force.
The ["Scalpel"] platform will be available at an affordable price. Some components of the device are of foreign manufacture, but to a high degree it is a Russian product. The platform is characterized by a compact size for such a payload weight, maximum energy efficiency, ease of manufacture and use.
